Have you ever been to the Yorkville Exotic Car Show? If not, you’re missing out.
The Yorkville Exotic Car Show (YECS) is a yearly event that takes place in Toronto on Father’s Day. Not only does it fill your eyeballs with exotic car goodness, but it also does some good. Melanoma Canada benefits from proceeds raised through corporate sponsorships, display cars, and online donations.
What better way to spend a Father’s Day than to take in a car show and make a donation for a great cause?
I’ve been every year (every year without a pandemic) since I discovered it, which only about 5 years ago but it’s been pretty awesome. I’m not sure my son enjoys it now, as much as he did a few years ago, but he comes with me anyway. He knows it means a lot to me.
One of the best parts is probably accidental, but pretty awesome nevertheless. I really enjoy when the show ends and the cars exit the corral. If you’re strategic in your vantage point they will come peeling around the corner going south on Avenue Rd. I didn’t get any shots of that this year unfortunately. The weather turned a bit and it got a little cold. Next year for sure!
So, mark your calendar for next year…
See you there!
