My name is Craig Cook, I’m a photographer/drone pilot.
I think everyone should take up photography. Not only does it promote exercise, but it also trains your brain to view the world in a way that you might not expect.
Photography in my early life was something that didn’t really appeal to me. For the most part, it was always frustrating to me. I could never understand why after paying “so much” for a camera, the images would come out a blurry mess. Granted, I was shooting with a point and shoot but nevertheless. I had high expectations from that little image-maker.
And now here I am, many years later with a much better understanding of what it takes to create an image by shaping light.
It requires knowledge of the exposure triangle, as well as a decent camera.
They say the best camera is the one you have on you. This is true, to a certain extent. Meaning, any camera is better than no camera. But I also believe that a camera with stabilization, great low light capabilities and many, many focus points is also critical.
That’s why I shoot Sony and fly DJI drones exclusively.
If you’re into drone content, I do that too. Check out my flights page.
After that, you can check out my YouTube Channel.
