Earlier this year, my girlfriend Sheri and I took a trip to Banff, Alberta. You can read more about that here. We had a helluva time.

But that’s not what this post is about. This post is about this epic location for Sunset. It’s not actually shown here mind you. This is just before golden hour. As you can see the sun was about to light those peaks on fire. I have better images that show that also found in the blog post I linked above. So don’t feel like you’re missing out.

This is one of my favourite images from that trip. Incidentally, it’s available as a print.

The first time we visited here for sunset, we wrote it off and didn’t stick around for it. I couldn’t see how this location could result in an epic sunset, in spite of the images I saw on Instagram that showed otherwise. It wasn’t until the next night, with clear skies that we were able to catch the alp n’ glow.

I hope you can appreciate the beauty as I can.
